In the process of moving forward, if encountering sand layer collapse, mechanical difficulty, or inability to pull, it is necessary to first loosen the traction rope, wait for the ship to retreat until excavation, and then tighten the traction rope again.

During the forward movement of the ship, there may occasionally be large stones or mud layers. In such cases, especially for large sand dredgers, there will be severe vibrations. At this time, the sand digging arm should be immediately lifted to avoid obstacles before resuming sand digging to avoid blind advance and equipment damage.

During use, it is also important to closely monitor the overall condition of the vessel, such as tightening screws in various parts, adding lubricating oil, chain pins, reducers, docking discs, and so on. When there is a flood season or a situation where work needs to be stopped, it is necessary to tie the ship tightly in a secure place to avoid it being washed away and causing unnecessary losses.
