The main functions of the positioning piles used on bucket wheel dredgers are twofold:
1、 It is one of the main piles, and during dredging, the hull and bucket wheel frame can swing around this main pile;
2、 It works in coordination with the lateral winch, using left and right positioning piles to alternately insert and remove, so that the bucket wheel frame and the hull move forward step by step, in order to obtain the specified longitudinal length and depth of the working surface.
The main function of the hydraulic cylinder is to rely on the push rod to extend and push the steel wire rope, pulling the positioning pile out of the mud layer, so that it can be freely fixed to or removed from the specialized support at the stern, and inserted into the soil by its own weight.
